Directions
- Mix flour and salt.
- Slowly add water while stirring until soft dough forms.
- Turn out on lightly floured surface and knead until smooth, adding a small amount of water or flour, if needed.
- Roll dough on a floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters.
- Place cut outs 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheet. Punch holes with a straw or carefully make a hole with a toothpick..
- Bake in a preheated 300 degree oven for 30 to 45 minutes. Baking time will vary with size of ornaments and your altitude.
- Cool completely. You may paint ornaments or leave natural.
- Once the pain drys coat with Shellac or other clear varnish
